Firearms Training Courses
We do NOT offer any training online. As law enforcement professionals, we believe that nothing replaces hands-on training under the guidance of an experienced instructor. The ability to have the instructor clarity, answer questions and provide feedback is paramount in the learning process and we will not compromise your training experience for the convenience of an on-line format.

NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course: 8 Hour
Fee: $149 (range fees included)
This course teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for owning and operating a pistol safely.
We include classroom and range time learning to shoot revolvers and semi-automatic pistols. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest position, and two handed standing positions; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, take a Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Examination, and course completion certificate. Why the range time?
Just like the DMV requires a physical driving test, we believe firearms certification should require a range component. Whether you're driving a vehicle or shooting a gun; both have the ability to constitute deadly force when used and you should show proficiency when being certified to operate both.
We encourage everyone to pack a lunch for the day. We do provide snacks, coffee and tea for the classroom portion. No food is allowed on the range.

Additional Fees NOT paid to Alpha Girls Academy
$65 application fee to your local Sherriff's office at the time you process your paperwork with them.
($50 Renewal fee every 4 years, no recertification required.)
The Oregon CHL covers handgun safety, types of firearms, various holster options including female specific, use of force laws, ammunition, considerations when drawing from concealed, the safe storage of firearms, and laws.
This class, like all of our training is not offered online. We want to engage with you and be available to answer questions as they arise during the class.

Fees: $135 to Alpha Girls Academy Includes: photo, fingerprints, and mailing the application packet. Additional Fees NOT paid to Alpha Girls Academy $51-Utah: application fee to the State of Utah at the time you process your paperwork with them. ($15 Renewal fee every 5 years, no re-certification required.) $65-Oregon: application fee to your local Sheriff's office at the time you process your paperwork with them. ($50 Renewal fee every 4 years, no re-certification required.) Firearm Maintenance: 2 Hour
Fee: $35
Learn how to care and maintain your firearms. We offer this course for pistol, shotgun and rifle.
Proper care and maintenance is a part of owning a firearm. You want to know your weapon will be ready and functioning if you should need it. This is a fun class and utilizes biodegradable cleaning and lubrication agents that will not leave you smelling like an auto body car shop. We provide the materials, you provide the firearm and an old towel.
No live ammo is allowed in the room, and all weapons and cases will be checked for safety prior to entering.
Fee: $35
